ABOUT CARAMOAN
Political Subdivision
The municipality of Caramoan is composed of 49 barangays with a total of 134 sitios. Most of its coastal areas are accessible by seacrafts from island routes which are traveled by land vehicles. Found in these coastal island are 19 barangays, having irregular shoreline that face the Pacific ocean; 15 barangays are accessible either by land transport or by hiking and the remaining 15 more are found within inland territories of the municipality.
Of these 49 barangays, the following have been classified as urban barangays or those belong to the poblacion: Binauahan, Ili-Centro, Solnopan, and Tawog. The remaining 45 barangays are considered rural.

Out of the total 49 barangays in the municipality, there are 12 barangays with one sitio each; 10 barangays with 2 sitios; another 10 barangays with 3 sitios; 2 barangays with 7 sitios and 1 barangay with no identified sitios, giving a total of 134 sitios of all barangays.
